Agility
What it is, who does it, and why...

Simply put, agility is the most fun you can share with your dog! Wether your interest in the sport is casual and recreational, a little competitive or highly competitive... agility is fun!!

Agility is now a well established spectator sport that began in Great Britain back in 1978. In just this short time, agility has grown to be a very popular sport in the U.S., with trials all over the country.

For dogs that have become bored with other forms of training, agility is a great way to vent excess energy... to "blow off steam", if you will. And there is no better way to build a bond and strengthen your relationship with your dog.

Learning to traverse a maze of obstacles, most timid or shy dogs come out of their "shell" and gain confidence. These obstacles include an A-frame, Dog Walk, Teeter, the Pause Table, Collapsed Tunnel, Open Tunnel, the Tire Jump and other asorted jumps, and ultimately the Weave Poles. Soon you and your dog will be racing against the clock!

Any dog that is fit, social with other dogs and basically obedient can learn and even excel at agility! Large dogs, small dogs and every size in between! And... people of all ages are benefiting from the effects of good interactive excercise while teaching their dog agility!

So... don't hesitate to get started! Let's all get involved and start having FUN!!
